Most Santa Barbara locals eat Tri Tip and Santa Maria Style's cooking over
Coast Live Oak frequently. They are spoiled if you will, they know nothing of humidity and average 74 degrees everyday with nice ocean breeze to draw the fog at the peak of every afternoon.
When the
Hitching Post Restaurant showed up at the California Wine Festival's "
Beach Side" Wine Event, we were welcomed by the local community, but even the locals could not foresee what HP had in store for them.
About 70% of the People had heard of the Restaurant and it's recent popularity in the movie "Sideways", but if they did not it was easy to catch them up on the Mid West Corn Fed Beef, cooked over Coast Live Oak. They wanted the beef and they were willing to listen to our explanation of HP's new product,
BBQ2YOU.
It was extremely hard for the patrons to believe that the product was cooked
two weeks prior. They look at you like you didn't say it, like you were lying to them, or they didn't hear you. If I didn't get the amazed look with "???", in their eyes I simply repeated the statement that it was BBQ'd,
Flash frozen, then heated for a few minutes today.
Amazed that it is possible to have a World Class meal without being a
slave to the kitchen- most were beside themselves.
When I saw the glimmer in their eyes I immediately told them that 'they were getting the bottom of the barrel, so made them aware of our Choice and Prime beef.
New York,
Filet Mignon and Australian
Lobster Tail are amazing with our cooking process.
After I got that through to them they insisted that because they lived in some corner of the U.S., that we could not accommodate their need, but I assured them we could ship to any part of the country.
