"Hear-ye, hear-ye! Come one, come all! And remember- what you are about to see is not for the faint at heart! For those who cannot bear the sight of the merciless carnage of an epic battle- please, shield your eyes. What you are about to witness is only the beginning of an ever changing new regime". The titans are in place, the Colosseum walls have been erected, and yet the size of the battleground grows exponentially. The race to create the simplest and most efficient way to communicate is the basis for all the rules, and rules were meant to be broken....right?
We are by no means talking about small potatoes here. I'm talking about dominating the market share in Communications. And we all hate when that new kid (YAWN....) comes to play, brings a new ball and says," we're playing a new game whether you like it or not!" No matter how much you kick and scream to push your products, he'll probably just whine that he's "taking his ball and going home!"
It used to be intimidating when the 900 lb. gorilla tromped into the scene, beating on his chest and bellowing to be heard above all others. Microsoft tried to use it's weight to step forward, but did not fully explore the potential of the ground it was treading upon in 2008. Despite the fact that Steve Ballmer no doubt bellowed the loudest, Microsoft failed to seal the deal with yahoo. So, the proverbial media gorilla squatted down on it's flanks and gave birth to BING.
The nine million pound Google is a force to be reckoned with. With it's hand in voice, browsing, and ventures in credit,it has announced it's open source OS platform used to launch their game-changer WAVE. This will bring "Real Time" communications to every industry and a new face to the Google Empire. The launch of Bing is an idea spawned out of the 20th century. When you build 60% efficient tools over and over again, you'll start to believe that is the best you can do!! Practice Makes Permanent
Internet Explorer , must go. If you are still running IE6 you are going to have serious problems in the near future.
